Participate in Economic Experiments and Earn Money
The Vienna Center for Experimental Economics is looking for participants to take part in experiments.
Why should I participate?
In all of our experiments, you are paid for the choices you make. How much you earn in an experiment depends on your decision and, in some cases, the decision by the other participants. Furthermore, you are helping us to conduct research at the University of Vienna.
What are economic experiments?
Experiments are an important tool of academic research in economics. They help us to better understand the way the economy works. In an experiment you might, for example, sell and buy goods in a computerised market with other participants. A typical experiment takes about 1–2 hours and takes place at our laboratory in the centre of Vienna.
Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome to take part in our experiments. No special knowledge of economics or computers is required. However, a sound knowledge of English or German is necessary to understand the instructions for the experiment.
How can I participate?
You first need to sign up for our participant database using the registration link below. Once registered, you will receive invitations for upcoming experiments on a regular basis. You can then decide whether and when you would like to participate. Of course, your data is treated confidentially and used exclusively for scientific purposes. Furthermore, you can withdraw your registration at any time.
