Let's hear what our assistants say

Pietschmann, Gabriel Nikolai

I have been working as a lab assistant at the VCEE since the third semester of my bachelor’s degree in economics. Along the way, I had the chance to gain many useful insights into how different research projects are designed and executed in academic practice. Having particularly enjoyed my lectures on microeconomics, my work in the lab – conducting, testing, and now primarily scheduling economic experiments – has given me the chance to further deepen this interest. Another great part of the work at the VCEE is its social aspect. In engaging with my colleagues, the researchers behind the experiments we run, and the participants in our studies, I have come to learn a great deal about communication, teamwork, and the human side of research.
