About the Vienna Center for Experimental Economics
The Vienna Center for Experimental Economics (VCEE) is a core research facility within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics. We apply experimental methods to explore fundamental questions about human behavior, markets, and institutions.
The VCEE fosters a dynamic environment for idea exchange and collaborative research in experimental economics. Our activities include engaging seminars, international partnerships, and access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. By combining cutting-edge experimental tools with diverse data sources, we aim to generate new insights, advance economic knowledge, and inform evidence-based policy.
Our mission is to take experimental economics to the next level:
- Enable and support high-quality research in experimental economics
- Teach, train, and reflect on best practices in experimental research
- Conduct original research and apply experimental methods to real-world problems
